PRACTICE CHANGE – SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST for the PRE NATIONAL and SENIOR TEAMS, there will be NO PRACTICE, instead you will be working the St. Charles Swim Team, Team Championships.
PRACTICE CHANGES beginning FEBRUARY 15th! Due to work being done at the St. Charles North High School Pool there will be NO PRACTICES held there until work is done.
St. Charles Swimming, Norris Rec. Center Aquatic Programs and Athletics from both High Schools will be sharing the Norris Rec. Center Natatorium; practice schedule changes are needed.

| | 2. TEAM GOALS for the 2010 SCST / TYR CHICAGOLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS - 02/08/2010 | This is our last regular season competition, Swim Fast!
To Swim Fast, the St. Charles Swim Team must have a great all around meet. Our Team Goals will help get SCST where we need to be as a Team. Swimmers must build off of the Teams performance to help them with their individual performances.

BE EARLY TO WARM-UPS - This is a home meet, no one should be late. Double check the Meet Information to make sure you know where you are going?
SCST WILL HAVE LESS THAN .8% MISSED SWIMS – Right now SCST has 1,653 individual entries, do not miss a swim all weekend!
SCST WILL HAVE LESS THAN 2% DISQUALIFICATIONS – Clean swimming is Fast Swimming!
PARENT VOLUNTEERING – You are the best, thank you for your support!
SCST SWIMMERS AND PARENTS WILL HAVE A UNIFORM APPEARANCE – On Friday, SCST will wear Black. On Saturday, SCST will wear their Blue Team Shirt and on Sunday, SCST will wear our favorite SCST apparel.
SCST SWIMMERS & PARENTS WILL DISPLAY TEAM SPIRIT – Cheer for your Teammates, we are ALL here. Come to finals and watch some really fast swimming!
EVERYONE HAVE FUN & SWIM FAST! They go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.
CLEAN TEAM AREA! This is the hardest goal on this list, because our Team is not good about picking up our mess at home meets. Be great about this do not let someone else pick up your trash!

There are currently only 51 SCST Swimmers signed up for this meet, ALL St. Charles Swim Team Swimmers are eligible to swim up to four events that they do not meet or exceed the Illinois Swimming Regional Time Standard in that event. SCST Coaches want all swimmers that qualify from the ORANGE, BLUE, WHITE, and BLACK TEAMS to register for this meet. This is an Illinois Swimming / USA Swimming Sanctioned Competition.
This season instead of attending the CASL Conference Meets, the St. Charles Swim Team will be hosting the 1st Annual St. Charles Swim Team Championship at the Norris Rec. Center Sunday, February 21st. We look forward to this being an ongoing tradition of St. Charles Swimming.
The cost will be $5.00 per swimmer and the Top 12 swimmers in each event will be awarded.
Warm-Ups will begin at 7:30am
Meet Starts at 8:10am
Volunteers for the meet will be the St. Charles Swim Team SENIOR and PRE NATIONAL TEAMS, along with the Coaching Staff. We will need Officials to help with the meet. St. Charles Swim Team, your Age Group Champs Committee has been hard at work planning for the upcoming meet. We have 1200 swimmers, their families and many coaches and officials coming for the weekend. Hospitality and concessions are in need of donations. Congratulations to ANGIE CHORKAN, who represented the United States at two of the FINA World Cup Events last week in Stockholm and Berlin.
Angie had the oppurtunity to be a part of a Team that included not only World Youth Team Members like future University of Michigan Teammate Kyle Whitaker, and women's team captains Camille Adams and Amber McDermott. Also part of the Team were USA Swimming Stars Jessica Hardy, Michael Phelps, Peter Marshall and Whitney Myers.

To ALL Members of the St. Charles Swim Team
The meet starts tomorrow here in Stockholm! It has been an amazing day of training and I loved meeting all the other swimmers my age that have come on the trip. Also, the staff is made of some great coaches and even a few famous swimmers like Michael Phelps! They have all been very helpful in getting me acquainted with this international competition.
Thank you again for all the support coming from home and I hope to make the whole community proud at the meet.

NEW THIS SEASON
If you’re looking for a fun, athletic activity with low time commitment, the Junior Swim Team might be the right program for your Swimmer! The Junior Swim Team is a 10-week program for kids aged 9 to 14.
On the Junior Swim Team Swimmers receive coaching and instruction from the SCST coaching staff. The JST program is a unique opportunity to get top-notch instruction on all four competitive strokes as well as getting a chance to be a member of a team.
