| | 2. ST. CHARLES SWIM TEAM 2010-2011 RENEWAL & NEW SWIMMER TRYOUTS - 07/20/2010 | There have be many questions about the 2010-2011 Short Course Season. With District 303 helping with the renovations of the Norris Natatorium the Norris Rec. Center Pool is scheduled to be closed beginning in August and then lasting to Mid-November.
Major renovations are planned for the Norris Natatorium; Replacement of Drain Covers, New Dehumidification System, New Water Filtration System, New Pool Heater and the installation of the Ultra Violet Water Treatment System that the St. Charles Swim Team purchased with the proceeds from the 2010 Short Course Age Group Championship Meet.
We currently have practice space at St. Charles North High School after All St. Charles High School Programs are finished for the day. The St. Charles Swim Team, Norris Rec. Center and District 303 have been in communication with School District U46 about additional space in their facilities.
Once St. Charles Swimming knows how much pool space is available we will proceed with SCST Swimmer Renewal and New Swimmer Tryouts.

Not only did our Swimmers do a fine job in the pool, our Volunteers stepped up and hosted another great meet. It started on Friday with those who signed up for set-up, everyone who helped out on Saturday and Sunday and then tear down on Sunday afternoon. Great Job! The meet ran smooth which helps the Athletes experience.
SCST has only a couple more meets before the end of the Season. Let’s continue the fast swimming all the way to the Last Meet!

The St. Charles Swimmer who dropped the most time in one event goes to a Senior Swimmer that dropped a total of 61.53 seconds in the 400 Free. Congratulations MARISSA LAWRENCE on an Great Swim. Her final time was 5:23.40.
Congratulations to LUCY JOHNSON who set a NEW Team Record in the 11-12 Girls 200 Fly with a time of 2:49.72 breaking the old record set by Allison Ritter in 2000 with a time of 2:50.51.

St. Charles Swimmers did a fine job at the 2010 ISI Senior Championship Meet in the combined Team Championship SCST finished 10th with 210.50 points. The SCST Coaching Staff looks to improve on this finish at the 2011 ISI Senior Championship Meet.
On the side of individual performances these swimmers achieved a Lifetime Best in Every event they swum; BROOKE FLESHER, ASHLEY GLADIS, NICK KOWALESKI, LISA LICARI, AUSTIN MUEHLSCHLEGEL and KYLE PASSINI.

Swimmers who achieved NEW Speedo Champions Series Central Zone Times; KYLE GANNON, SPENCE GRAY, JOE HOLLMAN and LISA LICARI.

ISI REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS at UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS CHICAGO, JULY 23, 24 & 25 - 07/20/2010 | This is the first time for the 2010 Illinois Swimming Long Course Season, Short Course Regional Championships and we are excited! SCST has 95 Swimmers entered in 434 individual events. Our Regional Championship Meet is hosted by Lake Forest Swim Club at the University of Illinois Chicago Natatorium (901 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL, 60608). Due to the lack of Long Course facilities this season each meet will be hosted in Short Course venue. The pool is shorter!
